My Critique

I chose these traits in my Rubric because you must possess these traits to be successful in telling a Digital Story.


Digital Story evaluation: 10 points each
Digital Craftsmanship Command of the media? Was the use of media appropriate, supportive of the story, balanced and well considered? This short video is an excellent example of how digital stories can be used to teach young STEM. It is well made and the digital craftsmanship is excellent.

Points: 10

Audience Engagement How well did the story capture and keep audience engagement? Was the level of interactivity appropriate to the story being told.  

This short video clip and others like it is appropriate for a young audience and will hold their engagement. My daughter liked this video and was interested in looking at other similar videos.


Points: 10

Originality, voice, creativity How creative was the production? Did the presentation exhibit an original sense of voice and a fresh perspective?  

This video clip is creatively made and is inspiring to young people to learn more about STEM topics. I would heartily recommend  this short story to any parent of young children and or ECE or kindergarten students to introduce topics.

This video is an excellent example of digital story telling can be used to educate people of all ages. Many young people need to be exposed more to STEM and world of possibilities that this career path may lead.

Final score 30/30. I would highly recommend this format or digital story to introduce new STEM topics to primary school age children .
