I chose these traits in my Rubric because you must possess traits to be successful in telling a Digital Story.
|Digital Story evaluation: 10 points each|
|Digital Craftsmanship||Command of the media? Was the use of media appropriate, supportive of the story, balanced and well considered?||
This short video is pact with content and is appropriate for all ages. Looking into the future and how virtual reality may change our lives is interesting. The story line is somewhat out of balance with the amount of information being passed on, and this could have been edited as to not overwhelm the viewers.
|Audience Engagement||How well did the story capture and keep audience engagement? Was the level of interactivity appropriate to the story being told.||
The video was interesting but it moved very fast and offered too much information in a short amount of time. The audience is engaged but overwhelmed at the same time. The topic is interesting but could have been extended or some of the content could have been cut out. Even though it was full of content and tough to follow sometimes, the video explores the future and what it could possible look like, which makes the video worth it.
|Originality, voice, creativity||How creative was the production? Did the presentation exhibit an original sense of voice and a fresh perspective?||
While the topic is well researched, and creatively made, the production was too short. There was too much content for the length of the video. It could of been extended a few minutes to explain some of the more important topics in a detailed manner. At the same time, the concept of using virtual reality to try on cloths offers a fresh perspective of what the future may hold for all of us.
I really enjoyed this video and the topic that was explored. It was interesting and fun to view. I would recommend this video for high school students and beyond, and would also recommend having students take notes during the video to expand upon the conversation after the viewing.
Final score 30/30.
